Pastor Royce Parker, 65, went into the arms of the Lord on Sunday, May 10, 2020 at his home.

He was born on Feb. 13, 1955 in Brooklyn to Claude Johnson and the late Mildred Parker.

Royce attended George Washington High School in Brooklyn. Following high school, he enlisted in the United States Army serving from Oct. 30, 1972 until Nov. 9, 1973 when he was honorably discharged. During his time in the service, Royce received the National Defense Service Medal, Expert Hand Grenade Badge and the Expert M16 Badge. Upon discharge from the Army, he was employed by the Metropolitan Transportation Authority as a train operator until he retired in 2014.

Royce accepted the Lord in his life on April 23, 1983 where he was baptized, in the name of Jesus, by Prophet Hunter of the I Am The Church of The Living God Deliverance Temple, Inc.

He loved the Lord so much that he furthered his education at the Tabernacle Bible Institute and graduated on May 6, 1997. Royce received his certificate of Ordination on June 3, 2006 from Redemption Community World Ministries, Inc. by Bishop Gatty James.

On Oct. 17, 2010, Royce became a member of Calvary Assembly of God by Pastor Haniff Bacchus in Ozone Park.

Royce met his wife Toni in 2003. The two were married on Dec. 2, 2006.

After retiring in 2014, he and his wife Toni relocated to Walton. Royce enjoyed traveling and the country life. For many years, Royce attended the Walton Assembly under Pastor Kirk Darville. On Oct. 29, 2016, he was appointed as Pastor there where he served that position until he passed.

Survivors include his wife, Toni Parker; his five daughters, Natacha Parker of Montreal, Quebec, Stephanie Parker-Wright and husband, Keith of Brooklyn, Sarah Parker, Hannah Parker and Naomi Parker of Bronx; five grandchildren, Emmy Parker Bissainthe, Shakeem Parker Landry, Sarah Parker-Howze and Kaiyora Wright; his brothers, Floyed (Patricia) Parker, Jeffrey (Renee) Parker, Donavan (Marcia) Parker, Antoine (Marjoni) Parker and Lionel (Frances) Green; sisters, Valerie (Michael) Foye, and Debra (Jerome) Bogan; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He is predeceased by his mother, Mildred Parker and sister, Rochelle Parker.

Royce will be laid to rest on Monday, May 18, at Walton Cemetery.
