Martin “Mike” K. Gladstone, 79, of Walton, passed away peacefully on Monday, Aug. 9, 2021, at UHS Binghamton General Hospital following a brief illness.

Born Nov. 11, 1941, in Walton, he was a son of the late Kenneth and Margaret Jackson Gladstone.

Mike proudly served his country in the Army from 1962-64. He worked at Del-Met for 21 years then went to work for Norbord in Deposit until his retirement in 2004. Mike was an avid hunter and fishermen, enjoyed a good game of cards with friends and family, playing horseshoes and admiring classic cars. He had a special talent: Mike was able to type 120 WPM and would tell anyone who would listen as he was very proud of this skill. He was known as the town “prankster” and enjoyed making people smile and laugh. Most of all, Mike will be remembered as a devoted family man who will be sadly missed by all who had the opportunity to know him.
