Martha D. Bowker, 83, of Walton, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 20, 2021 at Elizabeth Church Manor Nursing Home in Binghamton following an extended illness.

Born March 13, 1938 in Liberty, she was the daughter of the late William H. and Arvilla Keene Bullis.  She graduated from Roscoe Central School, and married Donald Bowker in 1956.

Martha was a faithful member of the Northfield Community Church in Walton. She was a very talented seamstress and would often do tailoring out of her home in Walton for her friends and family. She was an avid collector of various sized nativity scenes and anything related to skunks. She helped with women’s missionary projects, and led various Bible studies.

Survivors include her son Robert and Darlene Bowker of Greene; sister-in-law Marleene Bullis; grandchildren Jennifer Baker (Derek), Elizabeth Burger (Charles) and Jeremy Bowker (Kyrie Kirn); great-grandchildren Emilie Baker, Dawson Baker, Joshua Bowker and Alexander Burger; and longtime friends Stella Martin, Ruth Lowell, Rose Paul, Lucy Wood, Cindy DeMarmels, and many others. Martha is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Martha is predeceased by her beloved husband Donald F. Bowker; daughters Theresa and Edythe Bowker, and brother Marvin Bullis.

A graveside service to celebrate Martha’s life will be held at Walton Cemetery in the spring at a day and time to be announced.
