The Business Association of Margaretville will hold a Second Saturday event Aug. 13.
A number of retail businesses on Main and Bridge streets will offer Second Saturday specials and set up tables outside their shops during the day.
The Happy Giraffe on Bridge Street will have a T-shirt sale and a display rack out front.
Kria World will donate 20% of sales for the day to the Brigid Alliance (brigidalliance.org) and also offer complimentary wine in-store and a popcorn machine in front for the kids.
Café Marguerite will be having a “taco night” plus special Mexican-inspired treats.
Home Goods of Margaretville will feature knife sharpening by Brad from 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
The Binnekill Tavern will host a happy hour from 1-4 p.m. featuring $5 pints of local draft beers, well drinks, house wines by the glass and free simple bar snacks (fries, roasted chickpeas, etc.). The restaurant will also have a table on Main Street (weather permitting) selling Binnekill merchandise — mugs, T-shirts, and cookbooks for a 10% discount. The booth will also promote the tavern’s sister restaurant, Tito Bandito’s in Pine Hill.
Barbara Alyn Designs will give away a Barbara Alyn hand-painted weekend bag for those who spends over $100, and a grab bag for customers who spend more than $25.
Species by the Thousands will give away samples of select products and run a 10% off sale storewide for the event.
