Lyle Bennett

Lyle Bennett, 91, of Sidney Center, went to be with our Lord Jan. 25, 2022. 

He was born on Feb 22, 1930, to the late Daniel and Hazel (Benedict) Bennett.

Lyle was veteran of the Army; he honorably served his country from 1951 to 1953. 

Upon discharge, he built his home across the street from his family farm on Willow Creek Road in Sidney Center. He and his wife Nancy raised his three children and continued to live there throughout their marriage.  He worked at Keith Clark in Sidney and retired after 40 years.  Always active, he loved family, church, music, hiking, camping, woodworking, golf and gardening. Lyle and Nancy were happily married for 70 years. 

Lyle is predeceased by his parents and his son, Duane. 

He is survived by his wife, Nancy (Mosier aka Gifford), daughters Shirley (Wayne) Foreman and Carolyn (Jeff) Cochran, and a daughter-in-law, Karen Bennett.

He was blessed with eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. 

A memorial service is planned for a later date this year.
