Lloyd E. James, 87, a lifelong resident of Delhi, passed away on March 22, 2020,  following a brief illness. 

 Lloyd was born on Jan. 10, 1933, the son of Archie and Letha James. He married his high school sweetheart and love of his life, Glenna Mason, on March 18, 1951. 

 Lloyd is predeceased by his wife, Glenna.  

He is survived by his four children: Barry and Kyle James of Afton; Cheryl and Rick McCrea of Mahopac; Sharon and LaRue Vitale of Egg Harbor Township, N.J.; Diane and Barry Noble of East Meredith.  He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren who deeply loved their grandpa.

 Lloyd was a dairy farmer and former owner of McDowell & Walker, a feed and fertilizer manufacturer with three retail stores in Delhi, Afton and Sidney.  He was a proud supporter of agriculture in Upstate New York.

 Lloyd and Glenna were members of the First Baptist Church of Delhi and Berean Baptist Church of Naples, Fla., where they spent many winters of retirement enjoying the leisure life.

 A celebration of Lloyd’s life will be held at a later date.

 Memorial contributions can be made to a charity of your choice or a service can be done for those who are in need, in Lloyd’s memory.
