Lillian “Lambie” Johnson, 61, of Vernon, Connecticut, formerly of Delhi, passed away Aug. 29, 2024 at her home following a long illness.
Born Sept. 8, 1962 in Delhi, Lillian was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Lillian (VanBuren) Johnson.
She attended school in Delhi and went on to work with the ARC in Hamden and later worked with the ARC at Delaware County Solid Waste Department in Walton.
Lambie loved country music and going to concerts. She also enjoyed traveling with her family, always collecting “maps” brochures along the way. She collected baseball cards and always cheered on her favorite baseball team - the Boston Red Sox.
Besides her parents, Lillian was predeceased by her siblings Lloyd Johnson III and Melanie Johnson.
She is survived by her siblings: Melissa (Tony) Martin of Vernon, Connecticut, Margaret Potucek of Springfield, Kentucky, and Louis Johnson of Oxford; aunt, Dottie Halstead of Oneonta; favorite nieces Cristy (Joe) Meyer of East Northport and Jessica (Scott) Cummings of Coventry, Connecticut; favorite cousins Judy Scanlon of Otego and Stephanie (George) Stamoolis of Buffalo; along with several other nieces, nephews and cousins.
A graveside prayer service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, at the Oneonta Plains Cemetery, Oneonta.
