Lillian Coss

Lillian (Yerry) Coss, 81, of Andes and Walton, passed away April 3, 2020, in Rudolph, Mass. where she most recently resided.

Born Dec. 26, 1938 in Middletown, the daughter of the late James S. and Blanche Yerry, she completed most of her schooling at Roxbury Central School.

On March 19, 1955, she married the late Willard Coss Sr. They made home for many years on the family farm in Andes where they raised nine children.

She enjoyed the outdoors, walking, fishing, camping, playing on the women’s softball team, and square dancing at the former Country Tavern. In later years she made home in Walton where she also enjoyed bowling and penny socials. She was employed for many years in the bakery department of the former Great American.

Lillian was predeceased by two sons, Willard Jr., and Wayne. 

Four sons survive: James, Kenny, Walter, and Paul. She is also survived by three daughters: Lorraine (Paul) Mann, Dorothy Coss, and Pauline (Bernie) Clement; 22 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, a sister, Margaret Dougherty, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Per her wishes, cremation took place and there will be no services.
