Kyle Blaine Coons, 35, of Walton, passed away on Monday, May 4, 2020.
Born March 13, 1985 in Walton, he was a son of Kevin Coons and Belinda Klinger.
Kyle is a veteran of a complete thru-hike of The Appalachian Trail, which he completed in seven months. He started his journey on March 14, 2019 and completed his hike in October, 2019. Kyle is lifetime member of the Hikers Helping Hikers group. This is where he was most happy and met many amazing friends along the trail. Kyle’s hike was 2200 miles long, completing the hike in full from Georgia to Maine. He had a passion for football and was a huge Oakland Raiders fan. Kyle was an avid collector of rare football cards. He had a huge heart, loved music and loved to write songs, and playing his guitars. Kyle was employed at Empire Metal Works full time at the time of his passing.
Kyle will join his daughter Kaya Coons in heaven, who passed on March 31, 2014 and he loved so much.
Kyle’s memory will continue to live on by his parents Kevin M. Coons Sr., and Belinda Klinger Hodges; two brothers Kevin M. Coons Jr. (Kristin) and Ryan K. Hodges Jr.; two sisters Ashley Combs and Kateland Coons; grandmother Barbara Klinger; nieces and nephews Ava Coons, Hayden Coons, Willow Abel, Pippa Willis and Zachary Montreal Jr. and longtime love, Samantha Harrison. Kyle is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
He is predeceased by his grandparents Keith and Elsie Coons and grandfather Arthur Klinger Sr.
