Katherine Puffer

Katherine L. Puffer, age 68, of Meco, passed away on Monday, Jan. 11, 2020 at Ellis Hospital, Schenectady.

She was born on April 24, 1952 in Gloversville, a daughter of the late Claude W. Simonds and Helen Groff Simonds.

Katherine operated her daycare in Rockwood for many years. She later was employed as the study hall monitor at the Walton Middle School until her retirement. She loved gardening and in summertime could often be found tending to the flowers at the Delaware County Fairgrounds.

Mrs. Puffer is survived by her husband, Lawson E. “Lonnie” Puffer, whom she married on June 4, 1983; two sons, Jody Lee Linart (Jaime) of Caroga Lake and Timothy Carl Linart (Christine) of Ephratah, a daughter Stacie Linart of Johnstown, a sister Angie Beauchemin (Donald) of Geneva, Ohio; thirteen grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, Katherine was predeceased by her son Gregory Scott Linart.

In keeping with her wishes, there will be no calling hours.

Services for Katherine will be conducted at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Katherine’s memory may be made to a hospice institution of one’s choice.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the A.G. Cole Funeral Home, Inc., 215 E. Main Street, Johnstown.
