Joel S. Klinegardner Sr.

Joel S. “Tiny” Klinegardner Sr., 60, of Vestal, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2021, following a long illness.

Born June 11, 1960, he was a son of the late Millard G. Klinegardner and Carolyn Dietz Kinch.

Joel was a graduate of Walton Central School. He worked for Chris’s Flowers in Walton as a floral designer and delivery driver for many years, then went to work with his brother at Artistic Floral in Walton in the same capacity. He will be sadly missed by all who had the opportunity to know him.

Survivors include his life partner Douglas Miller of Vestal; daughters Tia McEntee (Ralph) of Walton and Brandi Klinegardner (Joe Kilmer) of Walton; son Joel Klinegardner Jr. (Jessica) of Walton; brothers Louis Klinegardner (Eileen) of Walton and Walter Kinch (Lisa) of Walton; sisters Cheryl Green of Walton, Dawn Whiteside (Jack) of Walton and Terri Wright (Mike) of Walton; aunt Stella Martin of Walton; an uncle, Harvey Klinegardner (Ginger) of Texas, and grandchildren Landon, Anderson, Corbyn, Lilyanna and Jada. Joel is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. 

He is predeceased by his parents Millard and Marion Klinegardner and Carolyn and Walter Kinch; his brother James Klinegardner and brother-in-law Marc Green.

In keeping with Joel’s wishes, there will be no callings hours. A service to celebrate his life will be held in the spring at a day and time be announced.
