Jerry Ray Goodrich of Masonville, a retired auto mechanic for Breakey Motors in Walton and a lifelong area resident, died Saturday, Nov. 13, 2021 at his home. He was 88. 

The son of the late Bruce H. and Elsie G. Wood Goodrich, he was born Jan. 24, 1933 in Beerston. 

Jerry proudly served Our Country in the U.S. Army from 1953 -1955; he had been a member of the Nation Rifle Association for many years and a member of the Truman C. Tobey American Legion Post #32, Walton. Before working for Breakey Motors, Jerry worked for many years at the Walton East Branch Foundry, West Street, Walton; he enjoyed hunting, fishing, making jewelry and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife, Beverley A. Wood Goodrich; his sisters Martha Bartlett and Celia Wood; his children Vicky Conklin and her husband Tommy, Michael Goodrich and his wife Pam, Danny Goodrich and Pat Goodrich; his stepchildren Connie Hulbert and her husband David and William Marshall and his wife Becky; his grandchildren Kasey Hulbert, Matthew Goodrich, Nicholas Marshall, Erik Goodrich, Julia Goodrich, Sheldon Goodrich, Jessica Goodrich, Damon Conklin, Tammy Gladstone, Kaleb Goodrich, Jessica W.; many great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, and his pets.  

He was predeceased by two sisters, Vernice Cox and Hilda Kenzie; and two brothers, Larry Lavine and Harland Goodrich.

Visitation will be today, Wednesday, Nov. 17, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Harris Funeral Home, Railroad Ave. Roscoe. Funeral services will follow at 1 in the funeral home. The Rev. Christine Lindeberg will officiate.

Burial with military honors will be Saturday, Dec. 4, at 12 Noon in the Riverview Cemetery, Roscoe.
