Jean A. Rynack, 94, of Candia, N.H., died Dec. 7, 2022, at St. Teresa’s Rehab and Nursing Center after a long period of declining health. She was born June 28, 1928, to Katherine and Donald Augur in New Rochelle. She moved to Nyack in 1954 with her husband where they raised their two children.

She was widowed in 1969 and remarried in 1976. Eventually, they retired to Margaretville where she was an active participant at Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Grange, but her greatest joy was singing in the Community Chorale. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and traveling, but most of all, she loved her cats. After losing her second husband, she remained in Margaretville until 2007 when she moved to Candia, N.H. to live with her daughter and son-in-law for her remaining years.

Jean was predeceased by her husbands Francis X. Farrell and William M. Rynack. She also lost her son, Timothy P. Farrell, in 2018.

She is survived by her daughter Patricia A. Reinhold, her grandchildren Matthew and Miri Reinhold, and a step-granddaughter, Cynthia Taylor.

She is remembered by all for her sweet demeanor, kind heart, and joyful wit.

Jean was animal lover and in her last years she was a devoted patron of the New Hampshire SPCA in Stratham, N.H. Jean would be pleased if any donations in her honor were made to them, or any local animal shelter.

Arrangements have been made with the Cremation Society of New Hampshire. Interment will take place at a later date in New York.
