James A. Tweedie, 92, of Walton, passed away peacefully of natural causes on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 in Oneonta.
Born August 1, 1927 in Walton, he was a son of the late Emory and Gladys Miller Tweedie.
James married the love of his life, Mary Meyer Tweedie, on April 18, 1953 at St. John the Baptist Church in Walton. They were married for 55 years until her passing in May of 2008.
James ran the family dairy farm on Dunk Hill Road in Walton for many years. He was a long-time member of St. John the Baptist Church in Walton.
Survivors include his daughters, Nancy Schulkind and Judith Rubino (William); grandchildren Luis Roldan (Jill) and Annette Roldan and a great-grandson, Owen Roldan. James is predeceased by his parents Emory and Gladys Miller Tweedie; wife Mary Tweedie; brother Clarence Tweedie and sister Hazel Bolt.
A service to celebrate James’s life will be held at a day and time to be announced. He will be laid to rest next to his wife Mary at Walton Cemetery.
