Evelyn Andersen, 79, of Walton, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, Feb. 5, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family following a long battle with cancer.

Born Sept. 4, 1941 in Astoria, Queens, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Louise King Guenther.

Evelyn owned B&B Deli with her late husband Bruce for many years. She was a successful businesswoman, retiring as a high ranking executive with Islandaire Corporation in 2006. She made it a priority to look her best, making sure her hair, nails and makeup were always perfect. Most of all, Evelyn loved being a wife, mom and “Gobie” to her beloved grandchildren. She will be truly missed by all who had the opportunity to know her.

Survivors include her children Bruce Andersen (Kathleen), Janice Geyer (Willie) and Janine Lehrer (Joe); brother Robert Guenther; grandchildren Brandon Andersen (Megan), Alyssa Andersen, William Geyer, Ryan Andersen, Ashley Geyer (Dan) and Sean Andersen; longtime friends Maryann Palminteri and Noreen Seiter, along with many others and grand-pup, Jake Boy. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Evelyn is predeceased by her beloved husband Bruce C. Andersen who passed on Nov. 17, 2019, and sister-in-law Ellen Guenther.
