David W. Gould, 71, of Deposit, passed away on Friday, May 20, 2022, at UHS Wilson Hospital in Johnson City.
He was predeceased by his parents Clifton E. and Shirley (Holdrege) Gould.
David is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Judy (Tarbox) Gould; four daughters, Terri Gould, Tammy Gould, Jamie Gould and Tina Gould; grandchildren Hakim, Penelope, Maggie and Eli; sister and brother-in-law Barbara and Brent Mattson, brother and sister-in-law Robert and Sharon Gould; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
David was born and raised in Deposit and graduated from Deposit Central School in 1970. While growing up he worked with his father, brother, and uncle on the family farm. After high school David took over the family dairy farm. David took great pride in his farm and was a progressive farmer, always researching and practicing new techniques that he discovered. He retired from farming after 42 years.
David was a member of the Deposit Fire Department for 22 years where he served many positions. He also served on the town of Deposit board. David was an active member in the Deposit Men’s Club where he enjoyed playing cards with his friends.
Most important to David was spending time with his loving family who will miss him dearly.
A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, June 12, at 2 p.m. at Deposit Men’s Club, Airport Road, Deposit.
