Arthur George Neale

Arthur George Neale, 74, of Walton, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Jan. 5, 2020 at Delhi Rehabilitation and Nursing Center following a brief illness.
Born Feb. 16, 1945 in Walton, he was the son of the late Robert and Eleanor Tyrrell Neale.
Arthur worked at Kraft in Walton, retiring after 30 plus years of dedicated service. He joined the New York Army National Guard in August of 1964 and proudly served his country for 10 years. Arthur was a past Commander of American Legion, Truman C. Tobey Post in Walton. He enjoyed the outdoors especially hunting with his brothers in his younger years and fishing. Arthur also was an avid golf player and loved a good game of cards.
Survivors include his sons Joseph Neale (Melissa) of Ballston Lake, and Randall Neale (Carol) of Bainbridge; Brother Robert Neale (Marion) of Walton and grandchildren Jaime Janus and John Janus. Arthur is also survived by four great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by his beloved wife Phyliss Neale whom he married May 7, 1966 at the Plymouth Community Church and brothers Gary Neale, Maurice Neale, Sr., James Neale and Keith Neale.
Calling hours to which relatives and friends are invited to attend will be held on Friday, Jan. 10, from 2-4 p.m. at Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend Street, Walton. A service to celebrate Arthur’s life will follow at 4 p.m. at the funeral home with Bert More officiating. A graveside service at Walton Cemetery will be held in the spring at a day and time to be announced. Immediately following services at the funeral home the family invites everyone to join them back at the American Legion, Truman C. Tobey Post in Walton for food and continued fellowship.
