Another Delaware County Virus Death Reported

DELHI – A second local person has reportedly died due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Delaware County Public Health Services said Thursday that a local person who has been hospitalized with the virus died on Wednesday. No further information on their name or location will be released, according to the county.

For the third day, the number of people confirmed with the virus in the county has held steady – a total of 42 cases reported by the state, with five proving to not be in the county and their case reports transferred to their location. The county continues to report the full total, including those five, in their daily updates.

Five people are still hospitalized, 23 are isolating at home, and seven have fully recovered. Testing has been done on 320 people and 37 test results are still pending.

Otsego County reported its second virus-related death yesterday. The total number of cases, which has not yet been updated today, was 35.
