Alan James Stanton, 57, of Paris Landing, Tenn., passed away unexpectedly at his home on Nov. 13, 2021. Alan was born on Aug. 25, 1964 in Walton, the son of Tyrone Jr. and Bonnie (Hessinger) Stanton. An industrious guy, he and his brother had paper routes, a lawn business, plowed snow, worked in the stone quarry and woodlot with his father. Alan was active in 4-H, Boy Scouts, football, and church basketball. He graduated from O’Neil High School, Walton, with the class of 1982. After graduating from high school Alan moved to Cody, Wyo. where he worked for Weaver Construction Co. in the oil fields and Yellowstone National Park as a backhoe operator.
He later moved to Deer Lodge, Mont., where he worked for Montana Power and Light Co. operating their mobile dewatering plant throughout the northwest.
In the early 90s he moved to Paris Landing, Tenn., to be near his father. He owned his own business, “Stanton’s Repair,” a HVAC and heating company. However, he could fix anything (if there was any fix to it) and he was a genius with motors.
He fought the good fight for several years with health problems and never complained. He offered help to everyone but found it hard to accept for himself.
He was a great son, brother, father, grandpa, and friend. Alan is survived by daughter: Brittany and husband Hayes Rondol (Meteetse, Wyo.), mother Bonnie Hessinger Stanton and brother Ty Stanton Jr., both from Florida.
He was predeceased by his father Tyrone Stanton Sr.
Memorial services were Nov. 22 at the #4 Way Grill at Paris Landing.
Donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in his name.
