Across New York state, there are collection points to donate or recycle your solar eclipse glasses. You can also keep them to reuse for a future solar eclipse event. There are a number of groups collecting solar eclipse glasses across New York State including libraries, your local government, and more.
Astronomers Without Borders has been sending solar glasses for annular and total solar eclipse since 2008. From Africa, Asia, North and South America, their members, partners and National Coordinators help to bring glasses to people who may not otherwise have a safe way to view the eclipse directly.
