SK Baseball Takes Two, Will Compete in DL Title Game

Rosie Cunningham/The Reporter SOUTH KORTRIGHT - South Kortright baseball defeated H-T 16-0 in the Delaware League Thursday.

Freshman Patrick Dengler earned the pitching win for the Rams with five stellar innings - he is now 6-0 for the season.

According to SK Coach Bob VanValkenburgh, the entire squad contributed offensively.

“Patrick Dengler pitched a solid five innings of no hit ball,” he credited.

The Rams will compete in the crossovers on Thursday at Oneonta (field six).

“We play either Davenport or Roxbury,” said VanValkenburgh. “If Davenport beats Hunter this week-we play them.”

South Kortright defeated Roxbury 11-1 on Wednesday, May 8.

Junior Logan Kaufman had seven strikeouts in seven innings to earn the win.

The Rams had 11 walks in the win and the Rockets executed three errors.

Roxbury’s Isaac Walker smacked a double in the loss while teammate Andrew Chojnowski contributed a triple, respectively.
