Bulldogs Defeat B-G in MAC Baseball Action

Benjamin Patton/The Reporter Delaware Academy defeated Bainbridge-Guilford 6-2 Friday in the Midstate-Athletic Conference.

DA standout hurler Alex Taylor is now 6-0 on the mound for the season.

“Alex is a veteran and has a lot of experience from the mound,” said Bulldog Coach Phil Neumann. “He threw 5 2/3 innings of no-hit baseball.”

At the plate, Kyle Pagillo had a two-RBI single and Preston Van- Wie went 2-for-4 with a RBI and Connor Ferguson went 1-for-1 with three runs in the win. Taylor and Bryce Bracchy also had two hits apiece.

“He walked three times and scored all three times,” said Neumann of Ferguson. “It was nice to see multiple kids step up on offense.”

Evan Hyzer and Damian Stafford each had one hit for B-G.
