Downsville CS Team Travelled to New Mexico...

Contributed Photo Contributed Photo The Downsville Central School (DCS) STEM Club had an amazing trip to Albuquerque, N. M., May 2-7, thanks to many generous supporters. The club traveled to New Mexico to compete in RoboRAVE (Robots Are Very Educational) North America. The students learned about Robotics as well as teamwork, travel, budgeting, history, cultures, science, art and problem solving. Each team member raised funds and communicated to prepare for the competition. The Sumobot teams placed 12 and 14 out of 34 teams and the A-Maze-ing team placed 26 out of 43 teams. RoboRAVE has been held in New Mexico since 2001; this year over 900 students participants and six countries were represented. DCS was the only team from New York.
