Pancake breakfast at the Treadwell United Methodist Church March 16, 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Pancakes, eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy and beverage - for a donation.

While we were in Florida we saw and used the outdoor exercise equipment that the Kellogg Trust is raising money for with their Treadwell Community Cafe fundraiser - it’s better than the photos we saw online. Come and help on March 22 and enjoy a nice lunch - 11:30-2:30 or until the food runs out.

Treadwell Lego Club will have a make it and take it chess or checkers set on March 23 at 2 p.m. Register with Deb Tuthill or Jen Potrzebra for one of the 30 spots. Kudos to the Treadwell Lego Club for the work on the displays created over the past two years at Delaware Academy and the Delaware County Fair. While at the Florida State Fair, we checked out some Lego creations and thought that our club’s work was far above. I could be biased but I think not.

Put this on your calendar: Gun raffle and spaghetti dinner on May 4 at 5 p.m. at the Treadwell Firehouse. The gun raffle drawing will be at 7 p.m.; tickets for the raffle can be purchased from any Treadwell Fire Department member.

March 12 at 1 p.m. at the Franklin Free Library there will be a presentation by Scott Maxham on how to trim and prune trees.

Franklin Central School has an elementary music and senior chorus concert scheduled for March 12 at 7 p.m.

On March 14, there will be a Franklin Central School Board of Education meeting at 6:30 p.m.

We’re looking for information on Chester Treadwell for an exhibit in April. Also need some information on Thomas Niven or the Treadwell Electric Light Lake. Hoping to have a mini exhibit on that on March 22. Contact me at
