Seward Welcomes Delaware Academy FFA President To the Capitol

Contributed Photo Contributed Photo State Sen. James L. Seward met at his capitol office with students from Future Farmers of America (FFA) chapters throughout his district, including Delaware Academy FFA President Anna Post. Post joined representatives from other FFA chapters from across New York in Albany to take part in the group’s annual lobby day. Seward has teamed with Post in the past to take part in the VIP Dairy Showmanship event at the Delaware County Fair the last two years. Seward has consistently advocated in favor of programs to assist the next generation of farmers. Last year he and his senate colleagues were successful in adding $112,000 to the state budget (for a total of $842,000) to expand FFA and help prepare young New Yorkers to become leaders in agriculture.
