The Bartletts first opened Molto Espresso April 1, 2015, softer almost four successful years, the Bartletts have purchased a building.

Molto Espresso will be located next door to the prior location, at 151 Delaware Street in Walton. They hope to open at the end of February.

Purchasing the building will allow the couple to customize it to their needs. The new location will have an expanded bakery and seating area, and an additional 10-15 seats in the dining area. Jenny Bartlett recalls busy days at the previous location turning customers away because the seats were filled, so she looks forward to being able to accommodate more customers.

In addition, the new building will give the Bartlett’s enough room for reserved parties and meetings.

There will be more frozen drinks on the menu by spring, Jenny said, due to the purchase of a new ice machine.

In addition to running Molto Espresso, Ray and Jenny Bartlett are both full time teachers at Walton Central School. They have a small employee base, including a trained baker, but hope to add another.

“We have been blown away by the support shown by the community, they have really welcomed us,” said Jenny Bartlett, “We have a very large age variety of customers, from college students, the elderly, to small children with their parents. We opened Molto Espresso so people have somewhere to go. People come just to enjoy being together. We are thankful of the community support of Walton and surrounding areas. Without them we wouldn’t be in business.”
