“Take away Love and our earth is a tomb” - Robert Browning

I was disappointed along with many to learn of the closing of the Tri-Town News in Sidney.

School is back in session for

2019; good luck to all students to have a healthy and productive year.

The fifth- and sixth-grade band and chorus winter concert will take place in the high school auditorium on Wednesday, Jan. 9 at 6:30 p.m. The junior high band and chorus winter concert will be at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 10. Get out there and support the children and teachers by attending if able.

On the farm the cows were tested and are doing well. The vet checked the cows for pregnancies and good health; all is well. More calves were born and brought more cows to milk.

Our daughter and her two sons, Connor and Brady, came down for New Year’s and made for a busy weekend with other family members visiting to break in the new year and watch the ball drop at midnight. Happy New Year to everyone.

Keep purchasing dairy products and look for new ones. As always, keep all farmers in thought for a good planting season this spring and to get through the winter months.

Birthday greetings this month go out to: Briana

Greene, Joe Schalk, Travis

DeMott, Ron Sherman, Nelson Wilcox, Robert Church,

Earl Gardinier, Kathy Mott

Weirs, Joe Beers, Wendy Mott,

Donna Frembes Hine, Marjorie Mott, Michael Wagner and

Robbie Stanton; have a great day everyone.

The Masonville Federated

Church Council will meet

Monday, Jan. 14 at 5:30 p.m.

The church’s annual meeting will be Jan. 20; bring a snack or dessert to share.
