Male and Female Found Dead in Summit

Deaths Deemed ‘Suspicious’

SUMMIT - The New York State Police are investigating the suspicious deaths of two individuals in the town of Summit, Schoharie County. Dustin McMahon, 24, of Richmondville and Christina Arvidson, 31, of  Richmondville were found dead in Summit on Rossman Valley Road on Tuesday, Nov. 6.  McMahon attended Charlotte Valley Central School.

According to Beau Duffy, the director of public information for the New York State Police division headquarters in Albany,  not a lot of information is available at this time.

“No arrests have been made in connection with the deaths,” he said.  “It is being considered suspicious. They were found sometime yesterday - overnight.”

He added that  he could not confirm the cause of deaths or the details surrounding the case.  However, he said there is no immediate threat to public safety.

The investigation is continuing.
