Patriotism & Propaganda: Posters of the First World War

Contributed Photo Contributed Photo An exhibit will open Nov. 9 at the Delaware County Historical Association (DCHA), Delhi. A wine and cheese reception to celebrate the opening, will start at 4 p.m.

To mark the end of the First World War, one hundred years ago this month, DCHA will display - in the Elijah Thomas Gallery until Feb. 28 - a sample of its historic posters from the era. Come view approximately 20 posters, each of which either exhorts the young (men and women) to join the cause or asks that everyone buy bonds to ensure an allied victory. Admission to the opening reception and to the exhibit itself, is free; the gallery is open Monday – Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
