Benjamin Patton/The Reporter WALTON — The Walton volleyball team took three games from visiting Delaware Academy on Thursday. The Warriors won the first game by 25-18, the second by 25-14 and the third by 25-22.

The home forces got five aces from Hailey Gardner and four from Molly McClenon. Emma and Jamie Klein each had five kills. Gardner also had eight assists, and McClenon also got a block

For DA, Hannah Baxter had four kills and Lindsey Wright had two. Veronica Armstrong had three aces and Sarah Roberts had two blocks.

“Our team is mostly juniors and freshmen, and we lost a key senior who got hurt and was done for the year,” stated Walton Coach Robin Gray. “Delhi beat us in the first game with them, so this was a really good win. We have two more games to go, Greene is here on Tuesday and we have Deposit/Hancock here on Thursday. If we beat both of them, we should qualify for the sectionals.”
