DA Girls’ Booters Double Up on Walton

Randy Shepard/The Reporter WALTON — All of the scoring in Wednesday’s girls’ soccer match at Walton came in the first 40 minutes of the game. Visiting Delaware Academy started with a tally by Raegan Bracchy in the first minute, and Caroline Grace followed up two minutes later for the Bulldogs.

Three minutes after that, Walton’s McKenzie Clough found the range, and four minutes later, the Warriors tied the game at 2-2 with a goal by Chrissie Huntress.

With 20:42 still on the clock, DA took the lead again, as Anna Post tickled the twines. The final goal of the game came with 5:40 left, when Jodie Bray connected. Lindsey Whitbeck provided two assists to her teammates.

In the goals, Walton’s Ellissa Beach was credited with seven saves, while DA ’keeper Sylvia Liddle stopped three shots.
