Delaware County Sheriff’s Office

• Alan E. Tiffany, 69, Walton, was served a criminal summons issued by Sidney Town Court on July 29 charging him with second degree harassment. He is accused of subjecting another person to unwanted physical contact. He is scheduled to answer the charge in Sidney Town Court.

• James R. Cormier, 27, Cochecton, was arrested on July 29 and charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, uninspected motor vehicle and unlicensed driver, following a traffic stop on Meredith Street in Delhi. He is scheduled to answer the charge in Delhi Town Court at a later date.

• James Bivens, 53, Fort Plain, was arrested on July 30 and charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Police say Bivens was a passenger in a car at a traffic stop made by Hancock Police and deputies discovered that Bivens unlawfully possessed Tramadol. He was issued an appearance ticket to answer the charge in Hancock Village Court.

• Joseph G. Leonard Jr., 22, Bloomville, was arrested on Aug. 3 and charged with driving while intoxicated. He was released on an appearance ticket to answer the charge in Kortright Town Court at a later date.

• Timothy Smith, 47, Walton, was arrested on Aug. 2 and charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, unregistered motor vehicle and unlicensed operator. He was released on appearance tickets to answer the charges in Walton Town Court.

• Lydia Kenchen, 54, Hobart, was arrested on Aug. 4 and charged with unauthorized use of a computer, accused of taking a cell phone without permission to gather information. Kenchen was issued an appearance ticket to answer the charge in Stamford Town Court at a later date.

• Donte Brown, 34, Roxbury, was arrested on Aug. 3 and charged with endangering the welfare of a child following the investigation of a physical altercation between two juveniles. Police say Brown encouraged the fight and prevented another person from stopping the fight. He was released on his own recognizance scheduled to answer the charge in Roxbury Town Court.

• Christina M. Vitale, 26, Arkville, was arrested on Aug. 3 and charged with violating the family court act, obstructing governmental administration, unlicensed operator, resisting arrest and second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle when police attempted to conduct a traffic stop and she fled on foot into a wooded area. She was sent to the Delaware County Jail without bail pending action by the Delaware County Family Court. She is being held on $1,500 cash bail or $3,000 bond on the traffic related charges.

• Jeffrey Bird, 61, Delhi, was arrested on July 28 and charged with second-degree harassment and third-degree criminal trespass following a neighbor dispute. Bird is accused of trespassing on a neighbor’s property and harassing another person though he did not have permission to be on the property. He is scheduled to answer the charge in Delhi Town Court at a later date.

• Otto Mullen III, 34, Cobleskill, was arrested on Aug. 6 and charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, unlawful possession of marijuana, and other traffic infractions following a traffic stop on state Route 10 in Hamden. He was released on appearance tickets returnable in Hamden Town Court at a later date.

Walton Police Department

• Patrick J. Deese, 29, Walton, was arrested on July 28 on a Walton Village Court warrant charging him with second-degree grand larceny, third-degree criminal mischief and third-degree criminal trespass as a result of an investigation into the theft of a military vehicle from the Walton National Guard Armory in May. He was remanded to the Delaware County Jail on $25,000 cash bail or $50,000 bond.

• Cristian Ivan DelMoral-Gil, no address or age provided, was arrested on July 28 and charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, no license, no inspection certificate and as a fugitive from justice. Antonio Ramos, 39, Alejandro Quintero Marquez, 33, and Ricardo Tinoco- Hernandez, 33, all of Newburgh, were also arrested and charged as fugitives from justice. The four were turned over to federal immigration officials.

Sidney Police Department

Brian S. Hartwell, 31, Sidney was arrested on July 31 on a Sidney Village Court warrant for failure to pay a fine.

Katie Mckie, 36, Unadilla, was arrested on Aug. 5 and charged with petit larceny.

Shane Jones, 46, Sidney, was arrested on Aug. 6 on a Sidney Village Court warrant for failure to appear in court.

Colchester Police Department

Ezequiel A. Umansky, 25, Spring Valley, was arrested on June 3 and charged with thirddegree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, failure to keep right and uninspected motor vehicle.

Benjamin Z. Mehlman, 53, Brooklyn, was arrested on June 7 and charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and speed in zone.

Yaviel Calderon, 24, Coram, was arrested on June 9 and charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and speed in zone.

Aharon Ben-Shabt, 28, Brooklyn, was arrested on June 10 and charged with seventhdegree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Patricias Vazquez, 35, New York, was arrested on June 10 and charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Tiffany R. Snyder, 38, Oneonta, was arrested on June 14 and charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and speeding.

Mirel S. Trattner, 46, Silver Spring, was arrested on June 14 and charged with seconddegree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

Janice Ortiz-Mera, 41, Mastic Beach, was arrested on June 16 and charged with display of a forged inspection certificate, uninspected motor vehicle, unregistered motor vehicle and speed in zone.

Grzegorz Piatek, 31, Roscoe, was arrested on June 20 and charged with first-degree criminal contempt and aggravated family offense.

Saber A. Farawlo, 62, Brooklyn, was arrested on June 28 and charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and speed in zone.

Troy O. Baker, 24, Jamaica, was arrested on June 28 and charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and speed in zone.

Alicia J. Sprague, 38, Downsville, was arrested on July 7 and charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration.

Melissa L. Triplett, 53, Shohola, Pa., was arrested on July 14 and charged with reckless driving.

Cole B. Nelson, 21, Fort Lee, N.J., was arrested on July 21 for driving while intoxicated, refusal to take breath test and an equipment violation.

Cheryl A. Harmon, 54, Franklin, was arrested on July 28 and charged with seconddegree harassment.

James C. Noviello, 64, Downsville, was arrested on July 29 and charged with thirddegree falsely reporting an incident.

New York State Police

Gregory J. Croft, 45, Sidney, was arrested by Oneonta State Police on Aug. 1 and charged with aggravated unlicensed operator, speeding, driving while intoxicated and drinking alcohol in a motor vehicle on a highway, following a traffic stop on state Highway 23. He was issued appearance tickets to answer the charges in Oneonta Town Court.

Daniel S. Korenyik, 33, Hobart, was arrested by Stamford State Police on July 31 and charged with petit larceny. He was issued an appearance ticket to answer the charge in Harpersfield Town Court.

Briar J. Holt, 26, Walton, was arrested by Sidney State Police Aug. 2 following a traffic stop on county Route 21 in Walton, and charged with unlawful possession of marijuana.

Jarred M. Cutting, 37, Masonville, was arrested by Oneonta State Police on Aug. 3 and charged with driving while intoxicated, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and illegal signal. He was sent to the Delaware County Jail on $2,500 bond.

Thomas W. Hewitt, 44, Worcester, was arrested by Sidney State Police on Aug. 4 following a traffic stop on state Highway 8 and charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs.

Luceo E. DeJesus Vazquez, 37, Fleischmanns, was arrested by Margaretville State Police on Aug. 4 and charged with obstructed vision, inadequate stop lamps, failure to keep right, driving while intoxicated, unsafe turn and drinking alcohol in a motor vehicle on a highway, following a traffic stop on Main Street in Margaretville.

Patrick W. Parker, 26, Davenport, was arrested by Oneonta State Police on July 29 and charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief and second-degree harassment.

Lewis C. Ostrander, 32, Deposit, was arrested by Deposit State Police on Aug. 1 on a warrant charging him with being a fugitive from justice. He is being held at the Delaware County Jail awaiting a court appearance.

Wayne Yeneic, 29, Starlight, Pa., was arrested by Deposit State Police on Aug. 1 following a traffic stop on East Front Street in Hancock, and charged with driving while intoxicated and aggravated driving while intoxicated.

Jordan J. O’Neill, 32, Sidney, was arrested on July 30 and charged with petit larceny, released on an appearance ticket to answer the charge in Oneonta Town Court.
