Franklin Clinches TVL Title Clash

The undefeated Franklin baseball team sealed a spot in Wednesday’s Tri-Valley League championship game on Monday, with a 15-0 rout of fourth-seeded Milford. The game was halted by the “mercy” rule. They were to face second-seed Edmeston in the title clash, as the Panthers edged third-seeded Schenevus,


The Purple Devils opened with a run in the first inning, and followed with nine runs in the second stanza and added four more in the third and one more in the fourth. Starting pitcher Tyler Gregory limited the Wildcats to one hit in four innings and reliever Brian Johns allowed one in the top of the fifth.

Collin Campbell had three hits, including a triple and a double, and drove in three runs, while Gregory and Joe Serrao added two more hits for the Devils, who finished with 12 hits in the game, and were helped out by five Milford errors.
