Incumbents Sweep Walton Elections

WALTON - Walton incumbents retained their seats in the Nov. 7 election. Walton Supervisor CharlieWalton Supervisor Charlie GregoryWalton Supervisor Charlie Gregory Gregory outpaced challenger Bruce Dolph, who Gregory unseated two years ago, by a vote of 768 to 363.

Gregory, humbled, said it will be a pleasure to continue to represent Walton. His plans moving forward are improvements to the downtown area as discussed in revitalization and re-visioning sessions working in partnership with the village of Walton, additional flood mitigation projects and “making Walton better than it used to be.”

Dolph said he was disappointed in the results of the election and is unclear as to his future plans.

Incumbent council members Kevin Armstrong and Luis Rodriguez-Betancourt held onto their seats for another two years outpacing challenger Kathleen Hayek with 863 and 734 votes, respectively. Hayek was unsuccessful in her bid for a council seat, finishing the race with 448 votes.
