Joan P. Conrow

Joan P. Conrow of Cooks Falls, a lifelong area resident, died Monday, Oct. 9, 2017, at her home. She was 74.

The daughter of the late George W. and Doris Zahorik Parks, she was born Oct. 13, 1942, in Roscoe.

Joan had worked for the New York Telephone Company in Monticello and later in Liberty. She had been a town of Colchester Court Clerk for 16 years and had worked with her husband as a bookkeeper at Tiny’s Auto Service in Cooks Falls. She had been a member of the Cooks Falls-Horton Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, the Home Dem.–Coop. Extension, the Women’s Group of the United Church of Roscoe, and the Catskill Antique Auto Club. She enjoyed reading and gardening and was an avid football fan, supporting the Buffalo Bills, Penn State and Florida State teams.

Survivors include one daughter, Cindy Conrow of Cooks Falls, one niece, one nephew, several cousins, and the “girls” - Holly and Cookie.

She was predeceased by her husband Clayton “Tiny” C. Conrow Jr. in 2010.

Graveside services and burial will be Thursday, Oct. 12, at 11 a.m. at the Cooks Falls Cemetery in Cooks Falls.
