Probation Search Leads To Marijuana Arrest

Rumael Soler Rumael Soler Rumael Soler, 20, Davenport, was arrested by Delaware County Sheriff’s Deputies on Sept. 12 and charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of marijuana, as a result of a probationer’s residence search in Davenport in June. A quantity of marijuana was discovered in the residence, which police say belonged to Soler, who was not home at the time of the search. Police say he refused to cooperate with them in their attempts to contact him and requested an arrest warrant from the Davenport Town Court, which was issued. At the time of his arrest, Soler was additionally charged with second-degree harassment with regard to an Aug. 3 incident, where he is accused of grabbing another person by the arm in what police say was an apparent attempt to intimidate her. K-9 Officer Ozzie assisted the probation department in the search of the home in June, which led to the arrest.
