Racines Will Entertain at WKC

The West Kortright Centre’s 2017 performance season continues Friday, Aug. 11 at 7:30 p.m. with Racines, a “supergroup” that explores the varying musical traditions of southwest Louisiana and its pioneers with classic Cajun, Creole, zydeco and swamp blues songs. This collaborative project features five players who are all well-known Cajun musicians and play in other bands:

Steve Riley, Kevin Wimmer, Mitch Reed, Glenn Fields and Chris Stafford.

Tickets are $24 ($27 day of); $21 Member ($24); $11 Under 19.

The ticket booth opens at 6:30; doors open at 7. This is an indoor concert; but concertgoers are encouraged to bring a picnic dinner to enjoy before the show.
