The Roxbury Arts Group kicks the concert series off with In The Kitchen and their brand of Americana music on Thursday, June 22 at 7:00 p.m. in the park at the intersection of Main Street and Railroad Avenue. All concerts in this series are free and open to the public.

In The Kitchen got its start in the steamy kitchen of a second-story apartment in Rosendale. They play a mix of Americana music with hints of bluegrass, country, and soul.

Executive Director of the Roxbury Arts Group Jenny Rosenzweig said, “We’re excited to bring music back to Main Street in Stamford. Veteran’s Memorial Park is a wonderful community asset and the perfect gathering place for friends and neighbors to enjoy great music under the stars.” In the event of rain concerts will be relocated to the First Presbyterian Church in Stamford, 96 Main Street.

The Concerts in the Park Series will continue on Thursday, July 20 with Blues Maneuver, a seven-piece band performing Motown, R & B, and swing - one of the Catskill region’s premier bands for more than a decade, performing at clubs, concerts, and music festivals from Massachusetts to North Carolina, Cooperstown to New York City. Blues Maneuver combines topnotch musicianship, impeccable vocal harmonies, a mighty horn section, and a repertoire to suit nearly any musical taste with tunes from the 1940s to today.

The Concerts in the Park Series concludes with the Hop City Hellcats on Thursday, August 17. The Hop City Hellcats hit the scene in 2012, with its blend of classic outlaw country and blues. The band has been the house band two years in a row at Taste of Country Festival with renowned artists like Willie Nelson, Trace Atkins, Lady Antebellum, Brad Paisley and Dierks Bentley.
